Starting in 2025, focused site visits will be $1,500.
This fee will be added to the actual travel cost for the site visit team.
A focused site visit could be needed for various reasons:
- If the program is not completely prepared for the scheduled site visit
- lack of evidence provided by the set deadline or at the site visit.
- poor attendance during the site visit (students, graduates, advisory committee, or administration)
- if Key Personnel are unavailable to attend the site visit
- The CoARC Board could decide the program needs a focus site due to specific concerns during the accreditation process, findings at the site visit, review of the annual report or has received a complaint that requires a focus site visit.
Ultimately, CoARC reserves the right to cancel a site visit at any time prior to or during the scheduled visit, and to schedule a complete site visit or a focused site visit. While the program/institution will be provided with the reason for the change, they will not be allowed to appeal this decision. The CoARC will reschedule the visit as soon as necessary arrangements can be made and the program will be charged a Rescheduling fee and/or a focused site visit fee, in addition to any travel expenses occurred by the CoARC.
A Focused Site Visit is only scheduled to evaluate the specific areas of concerns and the program will be informed of the CoARC Standards that are related to those concerns.
