The Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) does not endorse any product or service produced or marketed by others to help programs meet any of its Standards. While preceptor training programs can be an appropriate initial step in a program’s efforts to improve inter-rater reliability among individuals who perform student clinical evaluations (Standard 3.11), it does not address confirmation that preceptor training was effective in standardizing student evaluation, the specifics of preceptor retraining and follow-up or the timeline for implementation of these processes.
