Dear CoARC Program Directors, Directors of Clinical Education, and Program Faculty,
As we prepare to implement the 2027 CoARC Standards, members of the CoARC Board and Executive Office Staff will host a series of live Q&A sessions, with each session focused on a specific section of the 2027 Standards. These sessions will provide an opportunity to ask questions, hear additional clarification, and learn from questions raised by other programs.

We encourage you to review the applicable section of the Standards and the attached FAQs before each session. If you have questions you would like addressed during a session, submit them in advance to shelley@coarc.com. Advance questions will allow the Board and staff to identify common areas of interest and provide thoughtful, useful guidance during the discussion. Questions will also be welcomed during the live sessions.
We recognize that the transition to revised Standards can generate questions about interpretation and implementation. Our goal is to make this process as clear and informative as possible and to provide programs with opportunities to receive consistent guidance directly from CoARC.
All Q&A sessions will be recorded and posted on the CoARC website for those who are unable to attend live or who would like to revisit the discussion afterward. We also anticipate updating or expanding the FAQs as additional questions and areas requiring clarification are identified.
We encourage program directors, directors of clinical education, and other appropriate program personnel to participate in the sessions relevant to their responsibilities and to share this information with colleagues who may benefit.
Thank you for your continued commitment to maintaining the quality and integrity of respiratory care education. The CoARC Board and staff look forward to answering your questions and assisting programs as we move toward implementation of the 2027 Standards.
